Tutorial #006
How to make a gif just using some pictures: motion blur.
Important note: I think that this can be done just if you have a Photoshop CS5, because I don’t know if the previous versions of it have the Animation option.
Hello guise, welcome to my sixth tutorial asked by a lovely anon. As always bhla bhla I have to say that I’m not good in English, and my CS5 is in Italian. If you can’t understand some passages, you must just to ask me!
.
1. Choose your pictures ( as many as you want. ) and put theme in the same canvas, with the technique of the move tool that I’ve already explained on my Tutorial #002. They have to have the same resize ( keep always open the window of layers. ).
.
2. Duplicate one by one every pictures, and place every duplicate layers over their original pictures in your layers window. Then, on these pics you have to use the motion blur effect. ( Filter > Blur > Motion Blur. ) On Angle I usually put 0°, if you want that the motion effect goes horizontally; if you want that your effect goes vertically, then put 90°. But if you want, it can go to any angle. On Distance I put 25px for make this gif, but you can set whatever you want.
.
3. Now open your Animation window ( Window > Animation. ) and create some frames as many as are you layers. ( In my case I have 6 layers, so I’ll create 6 frames. ) Now, you have to make visible in each of them the layers which you have in your layers window, IN ORDER. In the frames 1, the layer 1 must be visible and the other must be invisible. In the frames 2, the layer 2 must be visible and the other invisible. So keep this work even in the other frames: the frames 2, 4 and 6 in my case will have the three pictures which have the motion blur.
.
4. If you have noticed it, we need to change the speed. Usually I use 1 - 0,1 - 1 - 0,1 - 1 - 0,1 sec like in the screen that I’ve just made over there. This means that the pictures with the motion blur need to be more fast that the other, so the effect can works properly. The animation need to be set in “Always”, so the gif will can go on forever.
.
5. Edit it as you want and then Save for Web paying attention at the dimensions ( you already know that tumblr makes problem if the gif is more than 500k. ). And then, we have finish! It isn’t really difficult. Sorry for errors and misunderstandings sigh, if you need an help I’m always here! :)
Hope you’ll enjoy it, and that it ‘ll be helpful. If you use it, put a ‘like’ or reblog it please! ♥
This is my fifth tutorial asked by peanuttbutterandjelly. As always, I have to say that i’m not a boss in English, and my CS5 is in Italian. So, if you can’t understand some passages, you have just to ask me!
.
1. Choose the pictures ( in my case, i choose four screenshoot from Y’s MV. ) and put theme in a same canvas, with the technique of the move tool that I’ve already explained on my Tutorial #002. Move and resize them in a way which is good.
.
2. Now, we have to erase the parts that we don’t want, like the ones which are covering his face. With the Rectangular Marquee Tool and changing the Feather ( in pixel, usually i use 6 px. ) select the part that you don’t need.
And then, erase them. ( Edit > Clear. )
.
3. Use this method with the all pictures in the point that you need and then, we’ve finish! Isn’t difficult, is it? Edit it as you want, and I’m sorry for my poor english /sob Hope you’ll enjoy it, and that it’ll be helpful. If you use it, put a ‘like’ on it please! ♥
Haaaaaiiiiii! This is my fourth tutorial asked by an anon. As always, I have to say that i’m not a boss in English, and my CS5 is in Italian. So, if you can’t understand some passage, you have just to ask me!
1. Sharpen the original image. ( Filter > Sharpen. ) If you have the Tobaz Clean, clear the image if you need it.
2. Duplicate the picture (Layer > Duplicate Layer. ) and set his style on Soft Light. ( Layer > Layer Style > Blending Options > Soft Light. )
3. Go to the Fill Layers. ( Layer > New Fill Layer > Solid Color. ) The color is: #c1ecdb, the Style is Multiply and the Opacity is 75%.
4. Now we have to change the colors. ( Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Selective Color. )
Reds: -45, 0, 0, -20
Yellows: -60, 0, 0, 0
Cyans: +100, -100, 0, 0
Blues: +100, 0, 0, 0
Neutral: -10, 0, 0, 0
Blacks: 0, 0, 0, +20
5. And again. ( Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Selective Color. ) When you’ll finish it, set the Opacity on 70%.
Reds: -100, +20, +45, 0
Yellows: -100, +25, +50, 0
6. Go again to the Fill Layers. ( Layer > New Fill Layer > Solid Color. ) The color is black: #000000, the Style is Color and the Opacity is 20%.
7. Can you see any different? Then, now we have to create a Levels layer. ( Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Levels. ) Use this values:
8. Insert this Pattern: http://i55.tinypic.com/16k9lbd.png ( ATTENTION! I know that it’s invisible here, but if you save it and you open it with photoshop you’ll understand everything. ) Put it on Soft Light ( Layer > Layer Style > Blending Options > Soft Light. ) with Opacity 60%.
9. Finish! This is all, it isn’t really difficult. Sorry for errors and misunderstandings. /sob Here there’s the .psd file > DOWNLOAD.
Hope you’ll enjoy it, and that it’ll be helpful. If you use it, put a ‘like’ on it please! ♥
This is my second tutorial asked by an anon. As always, I have to say that i’m not a boss in English, and my CS5 is in Italian. So, if you can’t understand some passage, you have just to ask me!
.
1. Choose two pictures ( or plus, in this case I’ll use only two. ) which have a similar background. Obviously, it’s a bit unseemly if you try to emerge two pictures like these: ( probably it’s even possible, but I’ll not explain how to do it in this tutorial. )
In our case, we choose these two pictures.
Whit them, it’s a bit simple because with a white ( #FFFFFF ) background, the combination is more practical. For simplify the proceed, we named them A and B.
.
2. Now, start to observed your pictures. As you can see, the most of the ‘white part’ on the pictures are in different point ( It’s hard try to combine his shadows. ). In A is on the left, and in B is on the right. Then, flip one of the pictures, in my case I choose the B. ( Image > Image Rotation > Flip horizontal framework. )
.
3. Now we have to put them together in one canvas only. For doing this, the most of the time the space that we have for working isn’t enough. So, we have to enlarge the width of the picture where we want to put the other for combine them. ( Image > Canvas Size. ) In Canvas Extension Color we have to put White.
The result is this:
.
4. Put the other picture ( as you can see, I choose the A for convenience. ) on it, so that the two images are in one canvas only. Just bring with the Move Tool the photo A and drag it in the photo B.
Move it in a good position for now, probably we’ll change it later.
.
5. Change the style of A on Multiply. ( Layer > Layer Style > Blending Options > Multiply. ) Now you can see that B is visible, and you can move the two pictures in a better position. ( ATTENTION: this is possible only with pictures which have the background with color #FFFFFF. If it’s different, just come out the different between them. )
.
6. Now that you have choose the right position, it’s obvious that there are some parts where the pictures overlap between them. Select B in the Layer Window and erase the parts that you don’t need. Use each style of the eraser, fuzzy and not. ( Remember to erase also a few part of the picture A, like the dark line that comes out on his body. )
.
7. If there are part like the writings on his wrist, you have just to use the Smudge Tool and erase it. Just point the Tool on the ‘clean’ part of his skin and drag it on the writings.
.
8. Adjust everything you want, crop the image and we have finish! Now, you have only to edit it how do you want. Sorry for errors and misunderstanding, and sorry because I’ve explained it so hard and detailed /sob.
Hope you’ll enjoy it, and that it’ll be helpful. If you use it, put a ‘like’ on it please! ♥
Hi to everyone! This is my first tutorial asked by an anon. I start by saying that i’m not a boss in English, and my CS5 is in Italian. So, if you can’t understand some passage i upload also the .psd at the end. I hope this will be helpful! ♥
1. Sharpen the original image. ( Filter > Sharpen. ) If you have the Tobaz Labs, clear the image if you need it.
2. Duplicate the picture (Layer > Duplicate Layer. ) and set his style on Soft Light. ( Layer > Layer Style > Blending Options > Soft Light. )
3. Now, create a Gradient layer. ( Layer > New Fill Layer > Gradient. ) The color must be Black ( #000000 ), the style must be Radial and you must put it in Invert. Change the Layer Style in Soft Light with Opacity 45%.
4. Well, now create a new layer and put in it this color #fbf8c7. Set it in Soft Light with Opacity 35%. In this case, I put the color only on the brighter parts. ( For example, in his face and his skin.
5. Insert this Texture: http://i53.tinypic.com/9zn8z6.jpg and put it on Screen. ( Layer > Layer Style > Blending Options > Screen. ) You can flip / rotate it in any ways. If it’s necessary, you can erase the part that you don’t need.
6. And now, go to the Fill Layers. ( Layer > New Fill Layer > Solid Color. ) The color is: #e5dac2, the Style is Multiply and the Opacity is 80%.
7. Well, now we’re on the hard part. ( Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Selective Color. ) When you have finished it, set the Opacity on 80%.
Reds: -45, 0, 0, -20
Yellows: -60, 0, 0, 0
Cyans: +100, -100, 0, 0
Blues: +100, 0, 0, 0
Neutral: -10, 0, 0, 0
Blacks: 0, 0, 0, +10
8. And again~ ( Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Selective Color. ) This time put it on Opacity 50%.
Reds: -100, +20, +45, 0
Yellows: -100, +25, +50, 0
9. You can see any different? Then, now we have to create a Levels layer. ( Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Levels. ) Use this values:
10. Finish! Sorry for errors and misunderstandings. ;3; Here there’s also the .psd file >DOWNLOAD.
Hope you’ll enjoy it, and if you use it please put a ‘like’ on it! <3
